Function Terms & Conditions

MINIMUM SPEND

All function areas require a minimum spend amount to have the area exclusively to yourself. Failure to reach your minimum spend may result in your credit card being charged to meet the designated amount. Minimum spend does not include room hire.

DECORATIONS

The Sporting Globe can arrange professional decorations for your function. Any decorations not provided by The Sporting Globe must be approved by management and may only be fixed using blu-tac. Under no circumstances may glitter or confetti be used, if this occurs damages will be charged to your credit card.

ENTERTAINMENT

The Sporting Globe can arrange DJ hire for your function. Live entertainment not provided by The Sporting Globe must be approved by management and are NOT permitted to use any of the in-house Sound, Lighting or Visual equipment under any circumstances.

FOOD AND BEVERAGES

All food and beverage is to be supplied exclusively by The Sporting Globe, the ONLY exception to this is if you would like to supply your own cake. Your cake can only be bought into the venue on the day of your function. The Sporting Globe takes no responsibility for this cake.

BEHAVIOUR

Management reserves the right to end any function, eject any or all guest. You will also lose all function payments if appropriate behaviour is not observed by all of your guests and charge for any damages.

DEPOSIT & SECURITY BOND

A minimum non-refundable deposit equivalent to room hire is required upon a function booking. The client must provide credit card details with this signed agreement and is liable to pay for any damages during the function. A cleaning fee may also be charged when necessary.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations any time will forfeit the deposit in full. Three weeks minimum notice is required to cancel your event. Cancellation of your event less than three weeks from the booking date will forfeit 50% of the function total along with the deposit.

DAMAGE

The client is financially responsible for any damage caused to the venue of the function. The client accepts liability for its guests as well as their behaviour both during the function.

GUARANTEED NUMBERS (FOR PER HEAD EVENTS)

Final numbers for catering purposes will need to be provided a minimum of 3 working days prior to the function. You will be charged for no less than this number in event of per head function.

PAYMENTS

Account payments must be finalised prior to commencement of function excluding bar TAB. We do require a credit card to be held over the bar during the function when the bar TAB has not been finalised prior and will be returned after final payment of has been received.

SECURITY

Due to Liquor Licencing Laws all functions are required to have licenced crowd controllers for the duration of the function. Speak to your Functions Manager for further details.

MINORS

All underage guests must at all times be under the strict supervision of a parent or legal guardian and must remain within the designated function area. Underage guests MUST NOT consume alcohol, and if are found to be doing so, will be asked to leave immediately.

18TH BIRTHDAYS

The Sporting Globe welcomes 18th birthday parties however we require certain other conditions be met. 50% of guests must be of parental age and in attendance for the duration of the function. The client must provide a detailed Guest List of ALL guests attending no less than 3 working days prior to function date. The Guest List must have all underage guests clearly labelled and anyone not on the guest list will be refused entry to the event. A one drink per person per transaction rule will apply for the night. A zero tolerance policy will be in effect on both underage guests consuming alcohol and other guests supplying alcohol to underage guests. This will result in both guest and underage guest being ejected from the event immediately. All 18th Birthdays require additional licensed crowd controllers for the duration of the function. Speak to your Functions Manager for further details. By signing the agreement you are taking responsibility for all of your guest’s behaviour and for all of the conditions contained in this agreement.
